Why We’re Here
According to the latest USDA data, there are 33.8 Million people living in food-insecure households. Texas, along with 8 other states has a higher percentage of food-insecure residents than the national average. Please join us and help reduce hunger in our great state.
Working Toward A Hunger-Free Community
The Smithville Food Pantry is an all volunteer organization with one shared vision- to have a Hunger-Free Community.
Our mission is to provide nutritious food to end food insecurity in
our community.
The impact of inadequate nutrition on families is far more reaching. Poor nutrition affects the ability of families to function effectively in society and increases their risk of developing chronic diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
